Cookieless Analytics That Counts People | ConvertDash

Cookieless web analytics, hosted for you

Cookieless Web analytics that counts people, not machines

One script tag on your site, 63 reports on ours. ConvertDash counts real readers, refuses bots, AI crawlers and headless browsers, and names every refusal, so your visitor number is a figure you can check rather than one you hope is right. No cookies, so no consent banner for the analytics.

Seven days free, then you choose

Every new account gets seven days of everything a paid single site gets, plus All sites. No card and nothing to cancel. When the week is up the account moves to the free plan and keeps collecting.

Buying here gets you a licence key by email. Paste it under Subscription in your account, or on your own install, and the plan applies straight away. You can also upgrade from inside the dashboard, which skips the key.

The difference

Every refusal is counted, by name

A dashboard that says 88 visitors and a dashboard that says 88 visitors plus 2,470 refused requests are the same measurement. Only the second one can be checked.

This is one day on a small site, as the Filtered Traffic reports show it. Refused traffic is stored as counters, never as a log: a date, a kind, a name, a page and a number. None of it reaches your visitor count.

AI crawlers and AI assistants are two different things, and most tools mix them up. A crawler reads your site because its owner wants the whole web. An assistant reads it because a person asked a question. There is a human behind the second one, so it gets its own AI Visibility reports. A machine did the reading, so it never lands in your visitor count.

How it tells them apart

Four tests, cheapest first

Nothing here needs a cookie or a fingerprint. It is all things a browser does that a script does not bother to fake.

1

It says what it is

Most bots, AI crawlers and scanners announce themselves. They are refused by name before anything else runs, and filed under what they are. A claimed identity is verified against published ranges or reverse DNS. Impostors show as Fake.

2

It sends browser headers

Half of automated traffic now copies a current Chrome agent string. What it rarely copies is everything else a browser sends alongside it.

3

Somebody was there

Did the page paint, was it shown, and did a person move, tap, type or scroll, or stay two seconds with the tab in front? A headless browser renders. It does not fidget.

4

It is not a data centre

A browser on a cloud address that claims to be a MacBook and never touches the page is not a reader. VPN and iCloud Private Relay visitors who scroll or tap are still counted.

What you get

Cookieless web analytics with a full dashboard, not a counter

Every section opens on a Glance screen: tiles, a trend, ranked lists. Then you drill in. Filters apply across every report, so one filter answers a question everywhere at once.

60+ Reports in 14 sections

From who wrote a page to which AI assistant sent a buyer, plus Explore and the AI Visibility screens.

The visitor identifier rotates every day. IP addresses are never stored. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control are honoured out of the box.

1 Script tag

One line in the head. It reads authors, page types, missing pages and site searches from what your pages already say.

Explore

Every question on one board. Pick a goal, split by a segment, compare with the previous period, save your own cards. Attribution with revenue per visit, funnels split by device, retention, live now.

Journeys, funnels, retention

Journeys is a Sankey diagram with Start from and End at. Funnels show where the dropped went. Retention is a cohort heatmap. Goals get conversion over time and time to convert.

AI insights, from real models

Seasonal decomposition, unusual days with a cause, level shifts dated, a forecast that states its own backtest error, conversion drivers with confidence intervals. Built nightly, opened instantly.

Numbers you can defend

Sources, channels and campaigns belong to the visit’s first pageview. Daylight saving is handled per day. Revenue is read from WooCommerce, Shopify or any other checkout, and each order counts once.

AI Visibility

Know what ChatGPT, Perplexity and Claude do with your site

Twenty six assistants are recognised by referrer and by utm_source. Crawlers and assistant fetches are told apart from the people the assistants send you, and each gets its own screens.

  • AI OverviewShare of voice by assistant, week by week. Assistant referrals indexed against the site’s own growth. How those readers behave and convert compared with search, with the significance test written out. Revenue from assistants, net of refunds.
  • Crawl to ReferralPer page: how often the models fetch it, how often an assistant then sends a person to it, and a documented score that ties the two together. See which pages earn citations and which are read and ignored.
  • Crawler AnalyticsWhich AI crawlers come, when, and for what. A robots.txt helper with allow and refuse lines, an llms.txt starter, and a live check of your own domain.

Install

One tag in the head

Sign up, add your site, and paste the tag it gives you. No plugin needed. Then press Test from my browser to see your own visit arrive, or Check installation to have the dashboard look for problems.

<script defer data-no-optimize="1" data-no-defer="1" data-cfasync="false" nowprocket
        src="https://analytics.convertnow.tools/cd.js?k=YOUR_SITE_KEY"></script>

Paste it inside the head on every page. Works on Webflow, Wix, Squarespace, Framer and Ghost through their head code settings.

Your dashboard shows the finished line with your own site key in it. The extra attributes keep LiteSpeed Cache, WP Rocket, SiteGround Optimizer and Cloudflare Rocket Loader from delaying or rewriting the tag.

Self hosted is coming, but it is not here yet

ConvertDash runs on our servers today. A build you can put on your own box is being worked on, and it is not something you can buy or download right now. When it is ready it will be announced here and to everyone on a plan.

Nothing you do now is wasted if you are waiting for it. The tag is the same, the reports are the same, and your history moves with you.

Questions

The ones people ask

Will my numbers be lower than Google Analytics?

Usually, yes. Most tools count crawlers, prerenders and headless browsers as people. ConvertDash refuses them and lists each one by name in Filtered Traffic, so you can see exactly what the difference is made of. Visitors are also counted per day, because the identifier rotates daily by default. Sources and channels belong to the first pageview of a visit, so an internal click never shows as direct.

Do I need a cookie banner?

Not for the analytics. Cookieless web analytics needs no banner: ConvertDash sets no cookies and uses no localStorage. The visitor identifier rotates daily by default and IP addresses are never stored. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control are honoured by default, and you can switch that off. This is not legal advice, and your own counsel gets the last word.

Does it work on my site?

If you can add a script tag to the head, yes. WordPress, WooCommerce, Shopify, Webflow, Wix, Squarespace, Ghost, Framer, Next.js, Nuxt, Astro, Rails, Laravel, Django and plain HTML all work. No plugin is needed. On WordPress a free plugin can paste the tag for you if you prefer.

Where is my data stored?

On our servers, because your readers’ browsers send it there. We hold it to draw your reports. We do not sell it, pass it to anybody, or use it to profile your readers or you. You can export all of it in CSV whenever you like, and ask for it to be deleted.

What is in the seven day trial?

Everything a paid single site gets: all 63 reports, Explore, AI insights, full history, events, revenue, exports, shared dashboards and weekly emails. You also get All sites. Team, White label and the Read API are Agency features. After seven days the account moves to the free plan: one site, 30 days of history and the core reports. Nothing is deleted.

Can I run it on my own server?

Not yet. ConvertDash runs on our servers today, and a self hosted build is being worked on. It is not something you can buy or download right now, and there is no date to give you. When it is ready it will be announced here and to everyone on a plan.

What happens if I stop paying?

Collection continues and nothing is deleted. You drop to the free plan, which shows the last 30 days and the core reports. The rest comes back the moment you are on a plan again.

Can I show the numbers to a client?

Yes. Every paid plan can share a read only dashboard by link, with a password and an expiry if you want them, switched on in Settings. Agency adds White label, so the shared dashboard and weekly emails carry your name, logo and colour, and Team, so colleagues get their own sign in as viewer, editor or admin per site.

I paid and the page sat there. Did it work?

The payment worked. Keys are issued twice over, once from your browser and once from the payment provider’s own callback to our server, so a browser that loses the connection at the wrong second does not cost you a licence. The page keeps checking for two minutes and then tells you the key is coming by email. Do not pay a second time. If nothing arrives, reply to your receipt.

The licence, in detail

What you are buying

Written out in full, because a licence you have to email somebody about is a licence nobody reads. Everything below is how the software behaves.

The ten terms in full, covering seats, your data, refunds and what you may and may not do, are on the documentation page. Nothing in them is a surprise: one key per account, cancel whenever you like, a full refund inside 14 days, and your data stays yours and leaves in CSV whenever you ask.

Already have a licence

Need more sites or seats

Moving up costs the difference between the two plans, once. No proration by days remaining: you are buying seats and features, not time. Your key stays the same and your renewal date does not move. If you upgrade from inside the dashboard instead, the plan switches the moment the payment clears.

Lapsed licence? Renew it first, then upgrade. Going back down a step is a conversation rather than a button: email us and we will sort out the difference.

Lost your key

Get a fresh one from your mailbox

We store a hash of your key rather than the key itself, so nobody here can read it back to you. Enter the address you bought with. If it has a licence, it gets an email with a link. The link opens a page with one button; press it and a new key is issued, shown once and emailed. Your current key keeps working until then.

Links last an hour and work once. The old key stops working the moment the new one is issued, so paste the new one under Subscription wherever the old one was in use. Bought your plan inside the dashboard? Then there is no key to lose. The plan belongs to your account, so signing in is all that is needed.

Count people

Seven days of cookieless web analytics, free, no card. Paste one tag and you will know this week whether your traffic is what you thought it was.
